In New York City, police stopped a delegation led by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, not allowing the motorcade to cross the street. The video of the incident was published by the Associated Press, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
What happened
Erdogan arrived in New York for a meeting of the UN General Assembly. The Turkish leader was stopped on the sidewalk when he was trying to cross the street, surrounded by bodyguards.
Law enforcement officers explained to the Turkish delegation that the roadway should remain free, after which a motorcade of several limousines drove along it.
The Turkish leader’s bodyguards tried to remove the barriers. Then there was a small clash between them and the American police. In the end, Erdogan was left waiting.
The video shows Erdogan and his bodyguards waiting outside while the police provide passage for the motorcade.

According to media reports, US President Donald Trump was probably in the motorcade.
