Poland urges citizens to leave Belarus immediately

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland has appealed to its citizens to refrain from visiting Belarus and recommended that those who are in its territory return home as soon as possible. This is evidenced by a publication on the government website of the Republic of Poland, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
According to the Polish Embassy in Minsk, this decision is due to the growing tension in the region, the ongoing hostilities, and numerous cases of arbitrary arrests of Polish citizens in Belarus.
The Polish ministry also warns that in the event of a sudden deterioration in the security situation, closure of borders or other complications, evacuation from the country may be extremely problematic or even impossible.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs appeals to Polish citizens who remain in the Republic of Belarus to immediately leave its territory using available commercial and private means,” the statement reads.
Currently, passenger traffic with Poland is carried out exclusively through the Terespol-Brest border crossing. For freight transportation, the Koroshchyn (Kukuryky) – Kozlovychi crossing has been opened.
It should be noted that on September 23, the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration of Poland Marcin Kerwinski signed a decree to restore border traffic with Belarus.
