More than 10 thousand patients: the number of patients with respiratory infections has increased in Kyiv

Last week, from October 6 to 12, doctors registered more than 10,000 patients with respiratory infections in Kyiv. This is 6.6% more than the week before. At the same time, the number of patients with COVID-19 decreased.
This was reported by the Kyiv City Center for Disease Control and Prevention, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
It is noted that last week in the capital, 10,102 people were ill with influenza, ARVI and COVID-19. The incidence rate is 37.7% below the average.
4238 adults fell ill (up 12.7%) and 5864 children (up 2.5%). Children account for 58% of all cases, compared to 60.3% the previous week.
“Among schoolchildren, the incidence decreased by 2.3% – 3303 cases, which is 56.3% of all sick children,” the report says.
The number of patients with COVID-19 has also decreased by almost 1.5 times. 274 people fell ill, including 32 children. In the previous period, doctors recorded 398 cases, including 54 children.
