Ambassador Miroshnyk: Foreign contingent in Ukraine will become a legitimate target of Russia

The foreign contingent deployed on the territory of Ukraine will represent a legitimate military target for the Russian Armed Forces.
This was stated by Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik in an interview with Russian media, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
According to him, “pumping” the Ukrainian side with weapons and sending foreign contingents does not contribute to the settlement, nor does it reduce the military threat.
“That’s why such things even require shouting from the president [of Russia] when he says that a foreign contingent is in no way acceptable on the territory of Ukraine,” the ambassador added.
Miroshnyk emphasized that, firstly, such actions are unnecessary, as they are not needed on the territory and will not provide any additional functionality. Secondly, according to the ambassador, they are legitimate military targets for the Russian side.
According to him, no one will welcome such structures with enthusiasm, and military units will receive a “concrete military response.”
