                                                                    “Ukrposhta has introduced a new service for customers – Express windows, which allow them to quickly receive and send parcels without waiting. The pilot project was launched in more than 1500 city offices across Ukraine. This was announced by Ukrposhta CEO Ihor Smelyansky, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
Smelyansky explained that the innovation aims to divide customer flows and reduce queues.
“This day has come – Ukrposhta is separating different categories of customers in different “corners of the ring” (in fact, in separate windows): parcel recipients (including many young people and hipsters) and senior customers,” Smelyansky said.
According to him, the new “Express windows” will be marked in black and yellow and will allow you to quickly
- receive or send a parcel
- receive a letter;
- receive cash on delivery.
“After the implementation of the new parcel management system, it takes only 30-45 seconds to receive a parcel. So now it’s fast and convenient! And to make sending parcels just as convenient, from now on, parcel packages are free at all Ukrposhta offices,” said the company’s CEO.
All other services, such as pensions, payments and sending letters, will be provided in regular universal windows.
Mr. Smelyansky emphasized that the idea came about after a detailed analysis of the nature of queues:
“Sometimes it’s a really long procedure, for example, when legal entities or notaries come to send a lot of letters. Sometimes we also have people who just want to talk to us: a grandmother can discuss important matters while receiving her pension, pass on meter readings, etc.,” he explained.
“Ukrposhta strives to create comfortable conditions for different categories of customers:
“We understand that everyone has their own lifestyle. For some people, a visit to a post office is an opportunity to communicate with the world, while for others, on the contrary, communication is a waste of time. Now we have created comfortable conditions for both worlds,” Smelyansky added.
The pilot project is already up and running, and the company encourages customers to share their impressions.
