The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine appealed to Ukrainians with a request

The Ukrainian Air Force has asked Ukrainians not to post photos and videos of Ukrainian combat aircraft online. This could help the Russian occupiers. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

“Some publications with overflights of combat aircraft published on social networks can significantly help the enemy. Even a few seconds of video in the public domain can become important intelligence for the enemy,” the military said in a statement.

The Air Force clarifies that Ukrainian pilots perform combat missions daily in frontline areas where there is a high risk of being hit by enemy missiles and air defense systems. The Russians can use any information about their base locations, flight routes or maneuvers to destroy them.

“A particular threat is posed by videos of military aircraft flying in frontline areas (including F-16 fighters) with geolocation, notable landmarks or objects,” the Air Force added.

It should be noted that on March 19, a number of Russian Telegram channels reported that an F-16 fighter jet was allegedly shot down over Sumy region by an S-400 air defense missile system. It was also reported that the SAM was allegedly paired with a Su-35 fighter jet. However, the head of the communications department of the Ukrainian Air Force Command denied this information.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy also denied this and instead stated that Ukraine had received a new batch of F-16 fighters.
