Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala has congratulated the ANO opposition movement and its leader, former Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, on winning the parliamentary elections.

This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".

“I would like to thank all Czech citizens for coming to the ballot box. I congratulate the winner of the election, who is Andrej Babiš, as well as all the political parties that entered the new parliament,” he said.

The local Seznam portal reported that the ANO (“Action of Dissatisfied Citizens”) political movement, led by former Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, is leading after counting about 90% of the votes in the Czech parliamentary elections. The opposition political force is currently receiving 36.07% of the vote. The ruling coalition Together is in second place with 22.19%. Third on the list are their allies from STAN with 10.91%.

Earlier, the British newspaper The Guardian wrote that the EU fears a possible victory of ANO, as Babiš is going to cut aid to Ukraine and move away from the pro-European course.
