On December 1, 2024, the electronic system of registers in the field of crop production “eResearch” was launched. This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
The components of the electronic system of registers in the field of crop production are the Variety Database, which consists of interconnected electronic registers:
– The Register of Applications;
– State Register of Plant Varieties Suitable for Distribution in Ukraine;
– State Register of Patents for Plant Varieties.
Farmers also have quick access to:
– The Register of Seed and Seedling Producers;
– Register of certification auditors (agronomists-inspectors);
– Register of certificates for seeds and/or planting material;
– Register of conformity assessment bodies.
In order to apply for and receive services in the field of seed production, nursery and protection of rights to plant varieties, individuals, individual entrepreneurs and legal entities must submit an application through the electronic cabinet of the ePlant Production system.
The electronic system ePlants was created to implement the Laws of Ukraine “On Seeds and Planting Material” and “On Protection of Rights to Plant Varieties” as part of Ukraine’s commitments to European integration.
The ePlant Service is intended to ensure traceability in the field of seed and planting material production and protection of plant variety rights.
What other eServices have been made available to farmers
on July 5, the eFish electronic system was launched in Ukraine. At that time, four components of the system were presented, which regulate a number of aspects of commercial fishing: an electronic contract, a permit, a logbook, and an electronic tag.
On October 10, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food launched the eLivestock service. This is an electronic portal for registering breeding entities and breeding achievements in livestock. As the Minister of Agrarian Policy Vitaliy Koval emphasized at the time, the introduction of the service will “greatly simplify” the relevant procedures for farmers. According to him, eLivestock is about simplifying procedures, transparency of decisions and free access to the general list of breeds of all types of farm animals registered in Ukraine.
