Prosecutors of the Prosecutor General’s Office caught on $170,000 bribe

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has exposed prosecutors of the Prosecutor General’s Office on receiving an undue benefit in the amount of USD 170 thousand. US DOLLARS. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the NABU.
The prosecutors received the money for making a decision to close criminal proceedings.
“One of the prosecutors was detained after receiving an undue advantage,”
– the NABU said.
He was served a notice of suspicion under the article on taking a bribe in a particularly large amount or by an official holding a particularly responsible position (part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The issue of serving notices of suspicion to all the detainees and choosing a measure of restraint is being decided.
Law enforcement officers did not disclose any further details.
It should be noted that the Security Service of Ukraine recently detained officials of the State Customs Service who, according to the investigation, received bribes from the heads of regional customs offices.
