Against the Russian military-industrial complex: Ukraine has imposed new sanctions
4 April 14:16
Ukraine has imposed sanctions on companies and individuals that supply Russia’s defense industry, facilitate the circumvention of sanctions, engage in illegal business activities in the temporarily occupied territories, and participated in the construction of the Kerch Bridge.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing relevant decrees issued by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The sanctions package against the Russian defense industry includes 26 individuals and 31 legal entities. Among them are companies that manufacture unmanned underwater, surface, and aerial robotic systems and related software.
This list also includes companies that manufacture and maintain various weapons: electronic warfare equipment, air defense weapon systems, armored vehicles, submarines, ships, auxiliary fleet vessels, port equipment, and parts for them.
Sanctions were also imposed on companies in the aircraft manufacturing industry—manufacturers and repairers of parts for helicopters of the Mi-8, Mi-17, Mi-171, Mi-172, and Mi-14 families.
Another set of restrictions targets 7 individuals and 11 entities: companies and their executives who facilitate the circumvention of sanctions. Among them are manufacturers of components for the Kh-101, Kh-59M2/M2A, and Iskander-K missiles.
This list also includes companies that are illegally conducting business in the temporarily occupied territories and are involved in the construction of the Crimean Bridge.
Ukraine will provide its partners with all necessary information to synchronize sanctions across international jurisdictions.
“These sanctions strike at the heart of the Russian military-industrial complex, from manufacturers of weapons and critical components to networks that facilitate the circumvention of sanctions. We are systematically closing the gaps, including activities in the temporarily occupied territories,” noted Vladislav Vlasyuk, the President’s Representative on Sanctions Policy.
Ukraine’s Sanctions Against Russia
As a reminder, Ukraine recently imposed sanctions against Russian Paralympians who participated in the war. Another package of restrictions targets Russian and Iranian companies and citizens serving the aggressor state’s military-industrial complex.
Earlier, Ukraine imposed sanctions against 10 Russian transport and logistics companies that deliver cargo to Ukrainian territories temporarily occupied by Russia.
