From now on, when paying in a retail network abroad with a Mastercard card from PrivatBank, if necessary, you can get cash directly at the checkout, instead of looking for an ATM. When making a purchase in a store, you need to ask the cashier whether the service is available at this outlet. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the bank’s press service.
Dmytro Musienko, the bank’s board member for retail business, said that PrivatBank, in cooperation with Mastercard, was the first Ukrainian bank to launch such a service, which allows customers abroad to withdraw cash without additional fees from foreign acquiring banks.
“Thanks to PrivatBank, cash withdrawal has become a very popular service in Ukraine, which is available in all leading retail chains and is eagerly used by residents of most Ukrainian cities. From now on, Ukrainians can now receive cash at the checkout in the usual way abroad,” he said.
