Ukrainian soldier Kateryna ‘Birdie’ Polishchuk has decided to stop serving in the 59th Separate Motorised Infantry Brigade. The defender wrote about this on her Instagram page, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".

The soldier hinted that changes are now taking place in her life. Some of them are even painful. But Kateryna Polishchuk does not want to complain about her life.

“I will not write a lot, complain or complain. One of the most important news (and advantages for me as an old-style volunteer) is that due to a number of insurmountable circumstances and events, I am forced to stop working with the 59th Brigade and my service in this brigade. With gratitude and respect, I say goodbye to these wonderful people,” the defender wrote.

Polishchuk added that she would be in isolation for some time and urged her followers not to expect regular content from her. For now, she will share what is “from the heart” on her social media page. The soldier expressed hope that Ukrainians would be understanding.

Kateryna Polishchuk also said that all the money raised after the purchase of drones and necessary equipment for the 59th Brigade soldiers will be spent on drones for the unit, which performs tasks on the front line.

“For now, my battalion has sufficient supplies thanks to your efforts,” she concluded.

The Ukrainian defender ended her post by thanking her brothers and sisters.

“Thank you for 14 months of fruitful work, a new military profession, patience, understanding and true love, which I needed so much, in which I no longer believed. Not because I am Birdie. But because I am me. You are the best thing that could have happened to me in such a difficult period,” said Kateryna Polishchuk.
