Russian President Vladimir Putin has doubled the size of the one-off payment that occupiers receive when they are sent to war in Ukraine. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" reports media outlet, citing Russian media.
Now, Russian recruits will be able to receive a one-time payment of 400,000 rubles, which is almost 200,000 UAH.
Until now, those wishing to go to the war zone, as well as military and mobilised personnel who signed a contract after 21 September 2022, were entitled to a one-off payment of 195,000 rubles. Thus, the amount of the payment has more than doubled.
It is worth noting that, according to the decree, only those who sign a contract from 1 August to 31 December 2024 will be eligible for the increased payment.
In addition, Putin recommended that the regions also pay at least 400,000 rubles to Russians who decide to go to war.
As previously reported, Russia has found new cannon fodder – migrants will fight.
