The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine plans to resume live broadcasts of its meetings from the beginning of the new session in September. This was announced by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“Stefanchuk said that there should be a resolution to resume broadcasting the Rada from the beginning of the new session in September,” Goncharenko said.
According to Yaroslav Yurchyshyn, chairman of the Committee on Freedom of Speech, a draft resolution on the return of live broadcasts has already been prepared and is being agreed upon by the majority.
The last parliamentary session was broadcast in test mode on July 31, 2025. Several committees met at the same time.
The broadcast was available on the official website of the Verkhovna Rada and the RADA YouTube channel.
After the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, live broadcasts of the meetings were suspended for security reasons. Instead, the recordings were published with a delay of about an hour after the end of the meeting.
Currently, the Committee on Freedom of Speech is working on a document that should take into account security requirements and allow for the resumption of broadcasts.
