The Rada will consider the appointment of Tetiana Berezhna when the vote is held

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko has submitted a motion to the Verkhovna Rada to appoint Tetyana Berezhna as Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy and Minister of Culture of Ukraine. This was announced by the Speaker of the Parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk on his Facebook page, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
At the suggestion of the parliamentary faction of the Servant of the People political party, which has the rights of a coalition of parliamentary factions in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the ninth convocation, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko submitted a motion to appoint Tetyana Berezhna as Vice Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy and Minister of Culture of Ukraine.
“The parliament will consider this motion in accordance with the established procedure,” Stefanchuk said.

Earlier, the Servant of the People faction supported Berezhna’s candidacy for this position. The MPs also recommended that Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko submit a corresponding motion to the parliament.
It is expected that the Verkhovna Rada may consider the appointment as early as the next plenary week, tentatively on Tuesday, October 21.
What we know about Berezhna
Berezhna graduated from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy with a bachelor’s degree in law and a master’s degree in law. She was an intern at the Parliament of Canada as part of the Canada-Ukraine Parliamentary Program (CUPP), which was her first international experience in public policy.
She continued her studies at the Ukrainian School of Political Studies, Kyiv School of Economics (Government Relations), Aspen Institute Kyiv, and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where she took a course on global transformations and the reconstruction of Ukraine. In 2025, Tetiana graduated from the KMBS School of Strategic Architect program.
She started her legal career in 2011 at Vasil Kisil & Partners, one of the leading Ukrainian law firms. In 2017, she obtained her attorney’s license.
Since June 17, 2022, she has served as Deputy Minister of Economy. In 2025, she will be entrusted with representing Ukraine at the World Expo in Osaka as Commissioner General.
