Missile attack on Chernihiv: death toll rises to 18

In Chernihiv, rescuers continue rescue operations at the site of the 17 April Russian airstrike. As of this morning, there are 18 dead and 77 injured. This was reported by the State Emergency Service, Komersant Ukrainskyi 
reports.
There are 4 children among the victims, including 3 people rescued from the rubble.
“Psychological assistance was provided to 58 people. We have removed 1,580 tonnes of construction waste and dismantled 71% of the destroyed part of the building,”
– the SES noted.
Russia struck the Chernihiv hospital on the morning of 17 April. As of Wednesday evening, 17 people were reported dead and nearly 80 injured. According to city authorities, the main impact was on an 8-storey building in a densely populated area at the intersection of two major streets.
The National Police said that a hospital and several residential high-rise buildings were damaged.
More than 40 people were hospitalised. He said that an operational headquarters has been set up and is operating at the scene, and tents have been set up where victims can receive all the necessary information.
