Missile strike on Kryvyi Rih: what is known
17 February 21:28
On the evening of February 17, Russian troops launched another missile strike on Kryvyi Rih. The attack was reported by the head of the city’s Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, who warned residents of possible repeat launches, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
Later, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, clarified that the strike targeted transport infrastructure. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties or injuries.
A series of attacks in a few days
This is not the first strike on the city in a short period of time. The day before, on February 16, explosions were heard in Kryvyi Rih as a result of a ballistic attack on infrastructure, also targeting a transport facility.
In addition, an hour and a half before the evening shelling on February 17, an attack was reported in the Kryvyi Rih district: the Hrushevska community came under fire. A residential building was damaged there, but there were no casualties.
Pressure on logistics
Separately, it was reported that Russian drones damaged railway infrastructure in several regions overnight — in Donetsk, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, and Chernihiv regions.
The combination of strikes indicates a focus on transport and logistics hubs, which are critical for both civilian life and rear support.
