Rocket attack on Lviv: a teacher at a national university dies of injuries

Bohdan Kryl, a lecturer at Lviv Polytechnic who was injured in the Russian shelling of Lviv on 4 September, has died in hospital. This was was reported on 2 October by Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, reports [Kommersant].

“Kriel Bohdan Andriyovych, born in 1955, became the eighth victim of this tragic attack. Mr Kryl was seriously injured during the attack,” Sadovyi wrote.

The mayor added that the teacher had been in critical condition in intensive care for 29 days, but his life could not be saved.

Thus, the number of people killed in the Russian Federation’s attack on Lviv on 4 September increased to 8.

Bohdan Kryl was an associate professor of Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies, a specialist in automation and measurement technologies. His colleagues spoke of him about him as “a man of encyclopaedic knowledge, high integrity and intelligence”.

“Mr Bohdan was not only an active member of our parish community, but also a great benefactor who sincerely and unselfishly helped our church and monastery. His hands and heart were always open to help,” they say about the deceased in the Church of St Joseph the Betrothed, where Kryl was a parishioner.

The parastasis will be held on 02.10.2024 at 19:00 in the Church of St Joseph the Betrothed, 11 Zaliznyak Street. The funeral will be held on 03.10.2024 at 10:00 am in the same church
