Nikopol-based manufacturer of seamless stainless steel pipes Centravis has received and fulfilled an unusual order – the company has manufactured a batch of special pipes to be used in SpaceX rockets. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" reports with reference to Forbes.
The order included 28 tonnes of thick-walled pipes with special characteristics. These pipes must withstand high pressure and operate in aggressive environments while maintaining ductility. As far as we know, the pipes are going to be used to supply fuel to rockets.
“Centravis coped with the task in 2.5 months. The pipes have already been shipped to the customer via the US distributor Allied Stainless Group Inc.

“We were able to convince the customer that we would produce the pipe on time and that it would meet all SpaceX’s needs. Of course, our experience in the US market and the successful execution of an order from NASA, namely the production of a special pipeline that was then used during the testing of the new Space Launch System rocket, played a role,”
– commented Dmitry Kiselenko, Centravis Sales America Sales Manager, on the order.
“Centravis has been producing seamless stainless steel pipes for various industries for over 20 years. In 2023, the company produced 12,200 tonnes of pipes, most of which were exported to 38 countries. The company’s customers include well-known international brands such as Thyssenkrupp, Alstom, Samsung, ExxonMobil, BMW and Volkswagen.
