Recruiting in numbers: Kharkiv residents are most interested in military service

Last week, 833 Ukrainians applied to recruitment centers, of which 185 started to join the ranks of the Defense Forces. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
Kharkiv region is leading in terms of the number of appeals to the recruiting centers of the Ukrainian army – almost 17% of the total number of appeals. This is followed by Dnipropetrovs’k region (15.5%), Kyiv city (14.9%), Zaporizhzhia and Lviv regions (12.2% each).
As of November 3, 23,596 visitors have received consultations since the recruitment centers were launched. Of these, 5,797 candidates are currently in the process of selecting positions and being recruited.
There are currently 44 recruitment centers in Ukraine. More than 10,000 vacancies are available to visitors.
The Ministry of Defense reminded that recruitment centers offer opportunities to serve not only in the Armed Forces, but also in the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service and the Security Service of Ukraine. The most popular positions are drivers, drone operators, staff and medical personnel.
The defense ministry also reiterated that recruitment centers do not issue summonses. All consultations are conducted on a confidential basis.
