A fire broke out in an apartment building in Kyiv’s Solomyansky district due to an attack by Russian drones on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported the attack on the apartment building on Telegram, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“In Solomyansky district, a fire broke out in one of the apartments in a residential building. One victim was treated by medics on the spot,” he wrote.
Later, Klitschko clarified that there are currently nine victims. Among them is an 11-year-old girl. All were treated on the spot.
He also added that non-residential buildings in Solomyansky district are also burning.

“There is also a fire at another address in the same district,” he said.
The mayor added that there are several more UAVs flying over the city.
“Air defense forces are working. Do not leave the shelters!” he warned.
The KCIA noted that this is the 19th air attack on Kyiv in October.
“The air alert in Kyiv lasted more than 2 hours. Russian drones did not change their constant tactics – they came towards the capital from different directions and at different altitudes. The enemy drones were detected and neutralized in time by air defense forces and means,” the statement said.
Earlier, as a result of an attack by Russian armed forces drones in Kyiv, debris fell in the Solomyansky district.
“Here, in a multi-story residential building, a fire broke out in several apartments. 18 people were evacuated from the building. Nine people were injured, including one child,” added the KCMA.

At another address in the area, a fire broke out in an administrative building, and later a depressurization of a hydraulic fracturing unit occurred (it has already been eliminated).
The fire has been extinguished. There were no casualties.
In addition to a residential building, a kindergarten building was damaged in Solomyansky district.
