Russia attacked an industrial facility in Zaporizhzhia, there are casualties

On the morning of February 23, Russian troops attacked Zaporizhzhia with strike drones. Industrial infrastructure was damaged and there were casualties. In total, over the past day, the occupiers have carried out 754 strikes on 44 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
Strike on Zaporizhzhia: what is known
According to Ivan Fedorov, Russian UAVs targeted an industrial infrastructure facility in the regional center.
As a result of the attack:
- a 33-year-old man was killed
- a 45-year-old man was wounded
The victim is receiving medical assistance.
“The Russians attacked the city with UAVs. An industrial infrastructure facility was damaged,” the head of the regional military administration said.
754 strikes in 24 hours: the scale of attacks on the Zaporizhzhia region
According to the regional military administration, Russian troops carried out 754 strikes on 44 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region over the past day.
As a result of the shelling:
- two people were killed
- four people were injured
- 56 reports of damage to housing and infrastructure were recorded
The occupiers used:

- artillery
- rocket systems
Massive attack on Ukraine on the eve
On the night of February 22, Russian troops carried out a large-scale air attack on Ukraine, using 345 missiles and drones.
The enemy’s main targets were critical infrastructure facilities.
Most of the air targets were destroyed by air defense forces.
The Kyiv region suffered the most:
- one person was killed
- 17 people were injured
- destruction was recorded in six districts of the region
Russia continues to terrorize civilian infrastructure
Zaporizhzhia and the region are regularly subjected to attacks by Russian troops.
In recent days, the enemy has also attacked:
- a settlement in the Kharkiv region — 5 people were injured
- Kupyansk district — a drone attacked the White Angels evacuation group, killing two police officers
Russian troops are systematically shelling industrial and civilian facilities, resulting in casualties among the civilian population.
Situation in the region
Zaporizhzhia region remains one of the most shelled regions of Ukraine. The enemy is trying to destroy:
- industrial infrastructure
- energy facilities
- residential buildings
Local authorities urge residents not to ignore air raid sirens and to follow safety rules.
