Russia strikes Ukrainian ports again: what is known about the consequences of the attack on Odesa region

On the night of February 13, Russian troops carried out another attack on port infrastructure in the Odesa region. One person was killed and six civilians were injured as a result of the strike. Fertilizer warehouses, freight cars, and company facilities were also damaged. This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kipper, and the Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine, Oleksiy Kuleba, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
One civilian killed, six people injured
According to official information, the Russian attack resulted in civilian casualties.
One civilian was killed as a result of the shelling. Six more people were injured, three of whom are in serious condition. Medical personnel are providing the necessary assistance to the victims.
The authorities emphasized that all the victims were civilians and residents who were in the area at the time of the attack.
Fertilizer warehouses and railway infrastructure damaged
The port infrastructure of the Odesa region was seriously damaged as a result of the Russian drone and missile strikes.
In particular, the following were damaged:
mineral fertilizer warehouses;
- facilities of one of the enterprises;
- freight cars;
- vehicles;
- railway infrastructure elements.
A large fire broke out at the site of the attack, which was extinguished by units of the State Emergency Service.

Hits on residential buildings and civilian objects recorded in Odesa
In addition to port infrastructure, Russian drones also attacked other civilian objects in Odesa.
According to Oleg Kipper, hits and debris were recorded on the territory of a car dealership and a sanatorium. Two Shahed-type drones also hit apartments in two residential buildings.
Experts are assessing the extent of the damage and compiling a complete list of damaged facilities.
Russia is systematically attacking Ukraine’s port infrastructure
The port infrastructure of the Odesa region is regularly targeted by Russian attacks. These strikes are aimed at disrupting Ukraine’s logistics, exports, and economic activity.
In addition to the Odesa region, Russian troops have also attacked the railway infrastructure of the Dnipropetrovsk region with drones over the past day.
Rescue workers, law enforcement officers, and utility services are working on the ground to eliminate the consequences of the attack and document Russia’s latest war crimes against Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure.
