Coordinated actions by NATO member states to supply weapons to Ukraine will continue regardless of the outcome of US President Donald Trump’s meeting with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. This was stated by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on CBS News, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

According to him, the first two aid packages have already been received from the Netherlands and Scandinavian countries, and new announcements are expected in the coming days and weeks.

He emphasized that US President Donald Trump has actually reopened the floodgates of lethal military aid to Ukraine, funded by European countries and Canada.

“In fact, President Trump, as I said, is reopening the floodgates of lethal military aid to Ukraine. It is paid for by Europeans and Canada, which I think is logical and fair,” Rutte said.

He emphasized that this process complements the existing support from Europe, including investments in the Ukrainian defense industry. NATO is coordinating supplies through its command in Wiesbaden to ensure that Kyiv has all the resources it needs to fight and prepare for peace talks.

Before that , Rutte said that Putin would be “tested” in Alaska. He expressed confidence that full-fledged peace talks would definitely be held with the participation of Ukraine and Europe.
