The Housing Market in Ukraine: How Salaries Have Risen and Which Sectors Are Leading the Way

Analysts at OLX Robota examined how the job market for positions offering housing changed in February 2026, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

The median salary for such positions across Ukraine was 30,000 UAH, which is 20% higher than in February 2025 (25,000 UAH). Despite the rise in wages, the number of such job postings decreased slightly—in February 2026, there were 8,464, which is 6% fewer than in February 2025 (9,044 vacancies).

We observe a similar trend regarding the level of demand. The total number of responses to job postings with housing in February 2026 decreased by 26% compared to the same period last year.

Which sectors have the most housing-included vacancies

The highest number of job offers with housing is concentrated in blue-collar, logistics, and service professions. The list of vacancies has remained virtually unchanged since February 2025.

Among the most popular in February 2026:

  • Positions in the “Manufacturing/Blue-Collar” category – 1,569 vacancies, median salary of 32,500 UAH, which is 18% higher than in February 2025 (27,500 UAH).
  • Security guard in the “Security/Safety” category – 645 vacancies , salary 15,300 UAH, 11% (13,800 UAH).
  • Driver in the “logistics/warehouse/delivery” category – 642 job openings , salary 42,500 UAH, 16% (36,500 UAH).
  • General laborer in the “construction/finishing work” category – 487 vacancies , salary 29,000 UAH, 16% (25,000 UAH).
  • Loader in the “logistics/warehouse/delivery” category – 404 vacancies , salary 28,200 UAH, 18% (24,000 UAH).
  • Housekeeper in the “cleaning/domestic staff” category – 356 vacancies , salary 15,400 UAH, 2.5% (15,000 UAH).
  • Construction worker in the “construction/finishing work” category – 297 vacancies , salary 50,000 UAH, 11% (45,000 UAH).
  • Salesperson in the “retail/sales/purchasing” category – 247 vacancies , salary 25,400 UAH, 21% (21,000 UAH).
  • General laborer in the “manufacturing/blue-collar trades” category – 199 vacancies , salary 27,500 UAH, 3.7% (26,500 UAH).
  • Auto mechanic in the “Service Stations/Car Washes” category – 172 vacancies, salary 42,500 UAH, unchanged since February 2025.

Overall, we are seeing an increase in wages across most categories, most notably in manufacturing, logistics, construction, and retail. At the same time, for some positions, the increase remains insignificant or nonexistent, which may indicate a more balanced supply and demand.

Jobs with housing: regional distribution

In February 2026, the highest number of job offers with housing was in major economic regions, specifically in the central and western regions of Ukraine. Kyiv Oblast remains the leader by a significant margin, indicating high demand for workers as well as the recruitment of workers from other regions.

Overall, the geographic distribution of job offers has been fairly stable since February 2025, and most regions are seeing wage growth.

Among the leading regions by number of housing-included vacancies:

  • Kyiv Oblast3,346 vacancies, median salary of 31,500 UAH, a 15% increase compared to February 2025 (27,500 UAH),
  • Dnipropetrovsk Oblast747 vacancies, salary of 26,000 UAH, 16% (22,500 UAH),
  • Lviv Oblast583 vacancies, salary 32,500 UAH, 1.6% (32,000 UAH),
  • Odesa region448 vacancies, salary 27,500 UAH, 20% (23,000 UAH),
  • Poltava region345 job openings, salary 21,500 UAH, 16% (18,500 UAH),
  • Kharkiv Oblast345 vacancies, salary 27,500 UAH, 17% (23,500 UAH),
  • Vinnytsia region285 vacancies, salary 23,000 UAH, -6% (24,500 UAH),
  • Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast278 job openings, salary 31,300 UAH, 19% (26,300 UAH),
  • Cherkasy region275 vacancies, salary 25,000 UAH, 35% (18,500 UAH),
  • Zhytomyr Oblast242 job openings, salary 27,300 UAH, 25% (21,900 UAH).

Among the regions with the fewest job openings offering housing in February 2026 are Mykolaiv (91 openings), Donetsk (26 openings), and Kherson (20 openings) regions; however, these regions have seen salary increases compared to February 2025—ranging from 18% to 43%.
