On Sunday, 1 September, the Russian Armed Forces again attacked a power facility in Ukraine. This time it is located in Kharkiv, reports "Komersant Ukrainian" reports with reference to the The Ministry of Energy.

“During the latest rocket attack on Kharkiv, one of the energy facilities was attacked. The consequences of the shelling are currently being eliminated. Information about the victims is being clarified,” the statement said.

The hit to the energy facility was confirmed by the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleh Syniehubov.

The official said that rescuers continue to eliminate the consequences of the hit despite the danger of repeated “arrivals”.

As a reminder, on 1 September, the Russian Armed Forces attacked Kharkiv with missiles fired from Belgorod and Rostov Region (Russia).

In the Saltovsky district, hits were recorded near the metro and a shopping centre.

In Kyivskyi district, the enemy hit a private residential sector.

The Sports Palace was destroyed in Nemyshlyansky district.

Only civilian infrastructure was damaged in the city: shops, pharmacies, cafes, coffee shops, administrative buildings, cars, post offices, and banks.

As of now, 34 people have been reported injured. Six of the victims are children. The youngest victim is a three-month-old boy. The child has an acute stress reaction. Two medics and two rescuers are also among the injured.

According to preliminary data, Russian troops fired Iskander-M missiles at Kharkiv. The speed of the missiles that hit the city was 6,000 km/h, which is typical for these missiles.
