Russia intends to hold talks on the exchange of territories with Ukraine after the cessation of hostilities along the front line.
This was reported by the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to the American official, Putin called for a halt to the war on the current lines in both regions. After that, Russia will hold talks with Ukraine on the exchange of territories, seeking Moscow’s full control over Zaporizhzhia and Kherson. It is not yet clear what territories Ukraine will receive in return,” the newspaper said.
It is noted that Russia will agree to a complete ceasefire in Ukraine if Kyiv withdraws its troops from Donbas. In this case, Russia will control the DPR and LPR.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump said he would meet with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin very soon. He said this during talks with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and then clarified on Truth Social that the meeting was scheduled for August 15 in Alaska.
