Russia massively attacked Sumy with drones: part of the city was left without electricity

Russian troops conducted an air strike on energy facilities in Sumy region and attacked the region with 13 Shahed drones. Air defence forces shot down 12 of them. This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration and the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“All the necessary services are working on the ground. Restoration work is underway. The consequences of the attack are being clarified,”
– the administration said.
The explosions occurred during an air raid alert, a few minutes after midnight. Afterwards, part of the city lost power. The local media outlet Kordon Media reported that there was no electricity in Okhtyrka, Bilopillya and other settlements.
The head of the Sumy city military administration, Oleksiy Drozdenko, said that due to Russian drone attacks on Sumy, critical infrastructure facilities were being switched to backup power, and that water supply and hospitals would also be fully backed up. Also, “invincibility points” are being deployed in the city.
On Monday morning, the Sumy City Council reported on Telegram that due to the state of the city’s power system, only autonomous trolleybuses would operate on the lines.
According to the Air Force, the Russian occupiers attacked from the north at night with 13 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs (launch area – Kursk region – Russian Federation). As a result of combat operations, mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces destroyed 12 enemy attack UAVs in Sumy region.
