Russia struck Nikopol: 11 wounded

Russian occupation forces attacked Nikopol with a strike FPV drone. The attack left 11 people injured, including a 16-year-old girl. Three of the victims were hospitalized, two of whom are in serious condition. The attack was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"
According to regional authorities, five-story buildings and shops in the city were damaged, and a fire that broke out after the strike destroyed a car. Medical personnel are providing all the necessary assistance to the injured.
What happened in Nikopol
The attack occurred as a result of an FPV drone strike on the city. Initial reports indicated a lower number of casualties, but the figures were later revised: the number of injured rose to 11.
Oleksandr Hanzha clarified that three people were taken to the hospital after the attack. A 16-year-old girl and a 28-year-old woman are in serious condition. Another 25-year-old victim is in moderate condition.
What damage was recorded
After the drone struck Nikopol, residential and civilian infrastructure was damaged. This includes high-rise buildings and shops. Separately, the Regional Military Administration reported that the fire completely destroyed a car.
This is yet another instance where FPV drones are being used not for military purposes, but against urban areas and civilian facilities.
Why Nikopol Is Under Constant Attack
Nikopol remains one of the most vulnerable cities in the Dnipropetrovsk region due to its proximity to the front line and constant attacks by Russian forces. The city is regularly subjected to artillery and drone strikes, particularly from FPV drones. Ukrainian officials and local authorities have repeatedly reported on the systematic nature of these attacks on Nikopol.
It is precisely because of these tactics that residential neighborhoods, shops, cars, and other civilian targets in the city are frequently damaged. This creates a constant danger for residents even outside of air raid alerts, especially when it comes to precision drone strikes.
