Russia strikes at Odesa and Sumy: photos of the aftermath appear

On the night of July 22, Russian troops launched a cynical attack on residential areas of Odesa and Sumy. Explosions were heard in the cities, followed by fires. There were some injuries. This was reported by Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov, Odesa Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Kiper, and Sumy Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Hryhorov.

The air alert was announced in Odesa and the region at 1:48 am. At 02:23 am, Trukhanov reported the first explosions. After that, local media and social media outlets reported fires in at least two locations.

“Despite the active work of our air defense forces, there is damage to civilian infrastructure: an administrative building and cars are on fire, and windows in residential buildings are smashed. Information about the victims is being clarified,” explained Kiper.

According to Trukhanov, the attack in one of the city’s districts resulted in smashed windows in high-rise buildings and burning cars in a nearby parking lot. In another part of the city, an administrative building caught fire.

The State Emergency Service reported that as a result of the strike on Odesa, a fire broke out in a parking lot, cars were burning. Also, windows in a high-rise building were smashed and a store was damaged.

Psychologists of the State Emergency Service were working at the scene. According to preliminary information, 1 person was injured.

The State Emergency Service involved 17 vehicles and 62 rescuers.

Russian attack on Sumy

As a result of the attack on Sumy, 5 multi-storey buildings, a shopping center and 18 cars were damaged, said the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Oleg Grigorov.

After the attack, two residents of one of the most damaged buildings were taken to a medical facility. a 60-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man are being examined and provided with medical care,

“Many residents of the residential area are in a state of shock after the enemy attack. So far 12 people have sought medical assistance,” emphasized Hryhorov.

Doctors, psychologists and emergency services are working at the site of the hit. The victims are being provided with all necessary assistance.
