The Russian Ministry of Defence and Russian z-bloggers report the capture of New York in Donetsk region, but there is no information on the Ukrainian side, reports "Komersant Ukrainian"
Russian bloggers have published a video of a flag being planted on a building, as if it were in New York, to support their claims.
According to some propagandists, the occupiers have even managed to rename the town Novhorodske.
Russian information about the seizure is confirmed by the Financial Times:
“On Monday, Russian troops appeared to have captured almost the entire city of New York, entered neighbouring Toretsk and are encroaching on the Pokrovsk logistics centre.”

Ukrainian military publicists claim that the battle for the city continues.
“The Defence Forces have advanced near Martynivka. The enemy has occupied Mezhove, Skuchne and Zhuravka, and advanced near Hrodivka and Zavitne. Heavy battles for New York continue,”
wrote the TG channel of the Deep State project, which is close to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence.
