Russian neo-Nazis announce ‘sacrifice’ of Ukrainian prisoner
20 August 2024 14:15
The Russian neo-Nazi combat unit Rusich has announced its intention to “sacrifice” a Ukrainian prisoner of war to the Slavic gods. The message appeared on the unit’s Telegram channel, reports [Kommersant]
The sacrifice is scheduled for the autumnal equinox, 21 September. The unit asked the ‘allied’ units to provide a Ukrainian prisoner of war for the occasion.

Since the unit obviously favours “Slavophile” views, they want the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier to be non-Slavic.
Such actions are supposed to help boost the morale of the Nazis.

The Rusich RRG is a Russian neo-Nazi military group founded in 2009 by Alexei Milchakov as a training base for military training. The group has been involved in the war in eastern Ukraine since 2014, carrying out reconnaissance and sabotage activities on the side of pro-Russian forces. Rusich’s symbols include runes, an eight-beam spinning wheel and an upside-down imperial flag.
The group took part in the battles for Luhansk airport, near Novosvitlivka, Shchastya and other settlements. One of the most famous operations was the destruction of a convoy of the Ukrainian Aidar battalion in September 2014. In 2015, the group became part of the ‘Phantom’ brigade and was later withdrawn from Donbas. After that, Milchakov trained teenagers in special camps in Russia.
In 2017, Rusych’s fighters distinguished themselves in Syria, protecting oil and gas infrastructure. In 2022, the group returned to Ukraine and was spotted in the Kharkiv region. “Rusich is accused of war crimes, including torture and murder of prisoners of war. In 2023, one of the group’s leaders, Jan Petrovsky, was arrested in Finland.
