Russian drone hits high-rise building in Kryvyi Rih: what is known about the consequences of the attack

On the evening of January 26, a Russian Shahed-type strike drone targeted a multi-story residential building in Kryvyi Rih. The strike occurred in the Ternivskyi district of the city. The attack was reported by the head of the city’s Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to him, a fire broke out at the site, but there were no casualties or injuries — the apartments that were hit were unoccupied at the time of the attack.
What happened and what are the consequences
After the drone hit, rescue services quickly began emergency rescue operations. Residents from neighboring floors were quickly evacuated and the fire was extinguished.
At the same time, the blast wave damaged windows in the affected building and neighboring structures.
Utility services and police are working at the scene.

For residents whose homes were damaged, an aid center was set up in the nearest school.

- accepting applications for financial assistance from the city;
- organize the delivery of building materials for urgent repairs;
- residents who need temporary accommodation are asked to contact the police on duty at the scene.
