Payments of 1,500 hryvnias have begun: the minister announced the timeline for receiving the funds

7 April 12:43

Starting today, Ukraine has begun distributing payments of 1,500 hryvnias—these will be made as a one-time payment throughout April. The funds will be credited automatically. According to "Komersant Ukrainian", Minister of Social Policy Denis Ulyutin announced this during a telethon.

“All recipients of social benefits, as well as pensioners, are eligible for this payment. Yesterday, funds were already redirected to 540,000 pensioners who receive payments through Ukrposhta so that Ukrposhta could also begin disbursing this support,” he noted.

According to the minister, the payment will be automatically credited to the same accounts or distributed along with the pension delivered by Ukrposhta representatives. He emphasized that recipients do not need to visit any Pension Fund offices or post offices to receive the payment, and the funds are scheduled to be disbursed as early as this week.

“Starting today, these funds will be deposited into bank accounts over the next few days. Through Ukrposhta branches—so that Ukrposhta representatives do not have to make multiple trips for direct payments—it will arrive along with the required pension, which is delivered monthly on the days when such pensions are typically distributed,” Ulyutin said.

In addition, Ulyutin noted that there are no restrictions on how this money may be spent. The minister explained that this payment is intended to “cushion the impact” of the fuel crisis caused by events in the Middle East.

This payment can be used for any purpose, as the recipient of such a payment wishes,” he emphasized.

Payments of 1,500 hryvnias

As a reminder, 13 million Ukrainians will receive a payment of 1,500 hryvnias in April.

Several categories of citizens will be eligible to receive a one-time payment of 1,500 hryvnias. Specifically, these include elderly pensioners, people with disabilities, low-income families, recipients of basic social assistance, internally displaced persons receiving social benefits, large families, and single mothers.

If a person belongs to more than one category of recipients, the payment will be made only once.
