TATL Technology, the developer of “Yedyna Shkola” seeking to profit from Ukrainian students, is raking in millions through government tenders

TATL Technology, the developer of the “Yedina Shkola” digital diary, is actively profiting from government tenders in the education sector while simultaneously making ongoing efforts to monetize its service for parents of Ukrainian schoolchildren . This is evidenced by data from public procurement records and the Opendatabot portal, according to [Komersant].

According to public data, the company has signed hundreds of contracts with educational institutions and education authorities across Ukraine.

Tens of millions of hryvnias annually

In addition, the company’s sales volume through tenders has shown rapid growth in recent years:

  • 2021 – approximately 898,000 UAH
  • 2022 – over 3.4 million UAH
  • 2023 – over 6.4 million UAH
  • 2024nearly 23 million UAH
  • 2025over 24.7 million UAH

Thus, in just the last two years, the company has reached a level of over 20 million UAH in annual revenue from the state budget.

Who buys “Yedyna Shkola”

Among the largest clients of TATL Technology, the developers of “Yedyna Shkola,” are primarily educational institutions and municipal utilities:

  • municipal enterprises (notably, the largest contract is nearly 30 million UAH)
  • education departments of district administrations in Kyiv
  • city councils (Vasylkiv, Rakhiv, etc.)
  • individual schools and lyceums in various regions

This involves purchasing access to the “Unified School” digital platform, which educators use as an electronic journal and diary.

In total, TATL Technology appears in more than 450 tenders.

According to public procurement data, the clients who paid the largest sums to the developer of “Yedyna Shkola”—TATL Technology—are:

  1. KP GIOC (Kyiv Main Information and Computing Center) – 29,867,360 UAH
  2. Obolon District Education Department of the Kyiv City State Administration2,526,960 UAH
  3. Department of Education of the Vasylkiv City Council1,628,783 UAH
  4. Department of Education of the Shevchenkivskyi District State Administration in Kyiv1,082,520 UAH
  5. Zhytomyr General Education School No. 5 (Grades 1–3 ) – 640,670 UAH

Double monetization?

Against this backdrop, a new scandal surrounding the app itself is gaining particular attention .

As previously reported, users are complaining about yet another attempt to monetize the “Yedyna Shkola” app, which has launched a massive advertising campaign (which, according to eyewitnesses, also appears in Russian) and, to block it, is offering thousands of parents of Ukrainian schoolchildren the option to pay 477 UAH per year.

The situation is complicated by the fact that this very app was officially recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science for installation by schools and parents. Thanks to this “state promotion,” the app has received over 1 million downloads and, in some regions, has become the “monopolist” of the electronic school record service. However, at the time, neither schools nor parents were warned about the developers’ intentions to later commercialize this mandatory state initiative for the digitization of school journals.

Assuming that at least some users pay the annual fee of 477 UAH, the developers’ potential annual profit could reach approximately 476,740,000 UAH per year.

That is , nearly half a billion hryvnias—just for the “right” not to see ads in the school diary.

Previously, a similar situation had already caused a public outcry when, following an app update, users lost free access to it. At that time, the developers attempted to charge parents 50 UAH per month for using the app .

However, the public outcry forced the developers to restore free access for parents.

About the founders of TATL Technology

TATL Technology has a concentrated, effectively “family-owned” structure: 62.61% is owned by director and beneficiary Oleksiy Koshevets, and another 30.25% by Lyudmyla Koshevets. Thus, over 90% of the company is controlled by two co-owners with the same last name. Another 7.14% is registered to the educational legal entity LLC “NVK ‘Midgard’” (a private school in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv).

As a reminder, MP and Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada’s Tax Committee Danylo Getmantsev stated that he would again appeal to the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Digital Transformation regarding the situation surrounding the “Yedyna Shkola” electronic journal and their attempt to monetize access to student data.
