According to the SBU, the design engineer was detained red-handed.

Counterintelligence revealed that the offender had two “clients”. The first was a Russian who works at one of Russia’s machine-building plants and cooperates with Russian special services. The second is an Iranian, previously convicted of espionage in Ukraine, who is now working for Iranian intelligence under the guise of a local company.
According to the investigation, the foreigners communicated with the Ukrainian traitor through anonymous messenger chats, but acted independently of each other.
Foreign intelligence services sought to obtain the latest developments of Ukraine to produce their own components for warships. They planned to use Ukrainian technologies at Russian factories, but thanks to the SBU counterintelligence, the traitor was detected in time and prevented the transfer of information.
During the search, the SBU seized the offender’s mobile phone, which he used to copy classified documents and communicate with foreign spies.
The SBU investigators served the offender a notice of suspicion under Part 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
The offender is in custody. He faces life imprisonment.
