U.S. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham commented on U.S. President Donald Trump’s statement about his dissatisfaction with the actions of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and the introduction of new sanctions against Russia. This is stated in his post on the X platform, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The senator praised the accuracy of Donald Trump’s description of “the games Putin plays” and emphasized that it is time to change the “rules of the game,” including for those who support the Russian president’s military machine.
“The Senate will soon consider a bill on tough sanctions – not only against Russia, but also against countries like China and India that buy Russian energy, that finance Putin’s war machine. The Senate bill contains a presidential exemption to give President Trump maximum impact,” Lindsey Graham reminded.
President @realDonaldTrump is spot on about the games Putin is playing.

Today, on July 9, the United States Congress will introduce Senator Lindsey Graham’s bill on sanctions against the Russian Federation. This statement was made on social network X by former Speaker of the US House of Representatives Newt Gingrich. According to him, this bill will send a “powerful signal” to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
“Senator Lindsey Graham’s important bill to strengthen sanctions against Russia will be introduced on Wednesday. This is a very important bill that will send a strong message to Putin that talking and killing is a losing strategy. The American people will only tolerate the lies of a murderous dictator for a limited time. Senator Graham’s bill is the next smart step in pressuring Putin to agree to a ceasefire in Ukraine,” Gingrich said.
Earlier, Donald Trump said that he was seriously considering sanctions against Russia, and that Russian President Vladimir Putin was talking a lot of “nonsense.”
