Fraudsters send fake premium subscriptions to Ukrainians: how to avoid becoming a victim

The Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine has reported a new fraudulent scheme on Telegram related to premium subscriptions, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

“Users of the Telegram messenger receive messages about an alleged “gift” of a premium subscription until 2026 with a request to activate it via a link. In fact, this is a fraudulent scheme aimed at taking possession of your personal data for further criminal actions,” the center notes.

The Center for Countering Disinformation adds that the interface and form of the link to the “gift” of a premium subscription are different from the usual ones.

Experts also warn that you should not follow links from strangers, you should block the sender and enable two-factor authentication to secure your account.
