What will happen to “Diy”: the Ministry of Digital Transformation answered questions about payment for the service

There have been rumors that Diya will become a paid service due to the liquidation of the state-owned enterprise and its transformation into a joint-stock company. However, in reality, this step will not affect anything.
According to RBC-Ukraine, this was stated by Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation Valeria Koval during a telethon, as reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".
“Yes, there were many rumors and, so to speak, various information was spread about the state-owned enterprise Diya, but in reality, everything is very simple,” she said.
Koval recalled that in July last year, the Commercial Code was abolished. According to the changes, all state-owned enterprises must change their organizational and legal form. According to her, various state-owned enterprises are starting this procedure depending on their organizational structure.
“In this case, when we talk about the state-owned enterprise “Dія,” it will be transformed into a joint-stock company, all shares will belong to the state, so the state-owned enterprise will continue to operate in the same format. This will not affect “Dія” or electronic services in any way, nor will it affect their cost,” said the deputy minister.
The cost of services at Diya
Koval also commented on the cost of services. She reminded that currently, Diya has a paid feature—multisharing—but it is paid for by the company that connects to it.
“All other services related to citizens will not be paid, because Diya is a state application, and these services will continue to be provided in the same format as before. Fees may be charged only for services for which payment is provided for by law,” Koval emphasized.
She added that fees are charged for services that involve administrative fees or state duties. At the same time, these fees are not charged by Diya, but by the authority that is entitled to receive them for the service in accordance with the law.
Recall that in January it became known that the state-owned enterprise Diya would be liquidated and transformed into a joint-stock company.
