Gas Supply Company Naftogaz of Ukraine LLC has announced that gas prices for households will not change until the end of martial law and 6 months after it ends. The company said this in response to a request from "Komersant Ukrainian".

“The price is not subject to increase from the price applied in the relations between suppliers and respective consumers as of 24 February 2022. Thus, in accordance with the current legislation, the price of natural gas for the population currently remains unchanged during the martial law in Ukraine and 6 months after its termination or cancellation,”

– said Naftogaz of Ukraine.

However, the company advised businesses to follow the situation and expert forecasts.

“As for the price of natural gas for enterprises, we recommend actively monitoring the market situation and planning their purchases in accordance with forecasts and market conditions,”

– the company said.

Despite such statements by Naftogaz, some experts believe that the price of gas for households may increase by UAH 1-1.5.

Currently, household consumers have to pay UAH 7.96 per cubic metre (including VAT). Industrial consumers pay more – the tariff for “blue fuel” is UAH 4.58 per cubic metre.
