The Prime Minister noted that defence capability is the number one priority for the government, but effective defence is a synergy of front and rear efforts. To meet the needs of our military, we need a functioning economy and infrastructure.
“One of the key issues in this area is fair and rational reservation of persons liable for military service. Employees of enterprises that are really critical. There should be no speculation or manipulation here,”
– shmyhal believes.
Therefore, the Prime Minister instructed to develop clearer and fairer booking criteria.
“…I instruct the relevant ministries to introduce an updated, fairer resolution on reservation in the near future and to determine an exhaustive list of critical infrastructure facilities and enterprises. We need clear and understandable criteria so that neither the military nor the public have any questions about why certain people are booked in our country,”
– the Prime Minister said.
The latest news about reservations for citizens liable for military service caused a certain amount of public outcry, as it turned out that footballers, telethon workers and circus performers, for example, were subject to reservations. The Cabinet of Ministers also wants to provide mobilisation exemptions to the film industry and camel breeding companies.
