Fast delivery thanks to innovations: Ukrposhta changes the rules of work

The state postal operator Ukrposhta is ushering in a new era in postal delivery by opening the first automated sorting terminal in Kyiv. Previously, the sorting process was carried out manually by employees, but now, thanks to innovative technology, this process has been significantly accelerated, according to

Ihor Smelyansky, CEO of Ukrposhta, said the new terminal in Kyiv is capable of handling an impressive 400,000 parcels per day.

“We are switching to fully automated sorting by opening the Kyiv Right terminal, which is capable of handling 400,000 parcels per day! 5 parcels per second. And that’s not all. For the first time in 40 years, we will open the innovative Kyiv Left terminal. Our goal is to provide next-day parcel delivery to any city in Ukraine,”

– said Smelyansky.

The CEO also added that similar terminals are planned to be opened in Lviv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Odesa and 14-16 other cities to maximise the quality and speed of parcel processing.

“This is just the beginning, and in the near future you will feel a noticeable acceleration in delivery,”

He also emphasised that all terminals are equipped with equipment made by Ukrainian manufacturers.
