Oleksandr Fediyenko, a member of the Servant of the People party, wrote on his Facebook page that he would sue MP Mariana Bezuhla for “discrediting her as a citizen and MP,” "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

on 15 October, Bezugla commented on the scandal surrounding Azgard fighters and Oleksandr Dmitriev, known by the nickname Tikhokhod, on Facebook. She stated that Dmitriev is also an assistant to Fediyenko, a member of the Rada Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence, “who is involved in a number of lobbying and corruption schemes related to cyberspace and communications”.

“Oleksandr Fediyenko is using the subcommittee he created in the National Security Committee as an instrument of administrative influence to promote his own interests,” the MP said.

In response, Fediyenko said that this was slander against him, the Servant of the People faction and the relevant committee.

“To be honest, I have endured for a long time, but there is a limit somewhere… I will be the first to go to court to protect my honour, dignity and reputation from this lady’s oral and verbal diarrhoea. I publicly declare that these actions of Mariana Bezuhla are incompatible with the ethics of a people’s deputy and I am forced to appeal to the Regulatory Committee,” Fediyenko wrote.

The MP believes that Bezuhlaya’s actions during a full-scale war “undermine confidence in state bodies and are a direct interference in the activities of a public figure”.

He also promised that the trial would be public and “interesting”, and that the lawyer’s name would “pleasantly surprise” Ukrainians.

Bezugla wrote briefly in response: “A trial is a trial”.
