Today, Ukraine will have power restrictions: blackout schedules

28 October 01:56

Today, on October 28, Ukrainian regions will have power cuts according to the schedule. They will take effect from 8 am. This was reported by Ukrenergo on Telegram, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

“On October 28, in some regions of Ukraine, measures will be taken to limit consumption,” the power company said.

Schedules of hourly outages of 1 to 2 stages will be in effect from 08:00 to 22:00.

At the same time, power limitation schedules for industry will be introduced from 07:00 to 22:00.

Ukrenergo warned that the time and scope of restrictions may change. The company advises citizens and businesses to constantly follow the updates from their local regional power distribution companies.

These measures are forced after a massive attack by the Russian occupiers on the night of October 22, when the enemy deliberately attacked energy facilities, including in Kyiv. Since then, blackouts have been introduced almost every day, except for Sunday, October 26.

Russian occupants have been shelling Ukrainian energy facilities since September. The enemy intensified its attacks as the weather started to get colder. As a result of the Russian terror, power supply problems continue in many regions of the country.

The most difficult situation with power supply after Russian shelling is observed in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv and Odesa regions. Power engineers continue to make repairs, but they cannot be carried out quickly due to constant enemy shelling.
