Epstein case: Starmer’s chief of staff resigns

9 February 01:17

The head of the British Prime Minister’s office, Keir Starmer, Morgan Maxwine, has resigned amid a scandal involving former UK ambassador to the US Peter Mandelson.

This was reported by The Guardian newspaper and Sky News on their websites, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

Lord Mandelson was dismissed from his post as ambassador in September, but he has once again come under public scrutiny following the publication by the US Department of Justice of new documents in the case of American financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was found guilty of coercing minors into prostitution, Sky News reports. Apparently, Peter Mandelson shared confidential information with Epstein while working in the British government.
