US will not force Ukraine to give up any territories to Putin – Rubio

Ukraine is not ready to give up its territories, and the United States is not pressuring Kyiv to hand over all the regions occupied by Russia.

During an interview with NBC, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio commented on possible scenarios for a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia.
The journalists asked whether the issue of transferring the entirety of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Crimea to the control of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin was discussed.
Rubio replied that Ukrainians are not ready to make such concessions and no one has the right to force them to give in.
According to him, even if a peace agreement is signed, it will not include the transfer of these territories.
“Ukrainians are not ready to give up on this, and no one is forcing Ukraine to give up… If a peace agreement is signed, it will not be like this,” he said.
It should be noted that US President Donald Trump said that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin still demands that Ukraine withdraw from Donbas.
