US, EU and Ukraine to hold security meeting in the UK today

The British government has announced a meeting with representatives of the United States, Ukraine and the European Union on security.
This is reported on the website of the British Cabinet, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
The meeting on August 9 will take place after a telephone conversation between British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The meeting will be chaired by British Foreign Secretary David Lammy and US Vice President J.D. Vance.
Starmer and Zelensky have already called the planned meeting “a crucial forum for discussing progress toward a just and lasting peace.” According to a press release, during the conversation, the two leaders welcomed US President Donald Trump’s commitment to “end this barbaric war” and expressed the need to continue to put pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the fighting.
