The National Asset Recovery and Management Agency has appointed a manager for the iconic building of the capital, the Trade Union Building, located on Independence Square with an area of 13,892.2 square meters, which is an important administrative and historical site.
This was reported by the press service of the ARMA, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
The tender was held in an open format through the Prozorro system.
Before announcing the tender, ARMA conducted an independent assessment of the value of the asset by engaging a qualified appraiser. According to the assessment, the market value of the Trade Union Building was determined at UAH 850 million.
Following the results of an open tender on the Prozorro platform, the Management Company CAMPARITET consortium won among four bidders.
From now on, according to the terms of the management agreement, 89.85% of the asset management income will be transferred to the State Budget of Ukraine. At the same time, regardless of the financial performance, the manager is obliged to transfer a guaranteed payment to the budget in the amount of UAH 1,591,224.04 on a monthly basis.
The Trade Union Building was transferred to ARMA’s management based on a ruling by the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv. Earlier, ARMA provided an inspection of the asset, its independent valuation and prepared all the necessary documentation for the tender. In November 2024, ARMA announced a tender for the manager of the Trade Union Building.
The Trade Union House was built in the late 1970s. It features a 24-meter-high information board.
The Trade Union Building was the headquarters of the protesters during the Revolution of Dignity. During the hottest days of the protests, a fire broke out in the building, killing two people. The building almost completely burned down, and it took four years to restore it. A private investor who financed the repairs took ownership of a third of the building.
