The Oregon District Court has temporarily banned US President Donald Trump from deploying National Guard soldiers to Portland to fight riots and protect Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities. This is stated in the decision published in the court‘s electronic database, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
“The court grants the plaintiffs’ motion for a temporary restraining order,” the decision reads.
The ban will be in effect until October 18.
on September 27, Trump instructed “Secretary of War” Pete Hughes to provide troops to protect “war-torn” Portland and ICE facilities from Antifa and “other domestic terrorists.”
Later, the US president said that he had decided to send troops to Oregon because of the “worsening lawlessness” and attacks on federal employees.
