on October 30, the court again seized UAH 2.6 billion from Pin-Up online casino, which is suspected of laundering Russian money. This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

“The Pechersk Court of Kyiv has re-arrested UAH 2.6 billion of an online casino suspected of laundering Russian money. These funds remain under the management of the National Asset Recovery Agency (ARMA), despite the fact that on October 25 the court unreasonably lifted the arrest,” the bureau said.

The SBI reminded that on August 12, 2024, the court granted the petition of the SBI and the Prosecutor General’s Office to transfer billions of hryvnias to ARMA, seized on the accounts of an online casino associated with representatives of the aggressor state.

It is noted that the SBI is investigating schemes of legalization of property by associations of persons with the participation of a number of business entities that have obtained a license to organize online gambling and acted under the cover of certain law enforcement and regulatory officials.

In particular, the SBI confirmed the connections of Pin-Up online casino with representatives of the aggressor state and Russian capital, as well as with sanctioned entities.

The SBI is conducting the said investigation within the framework of criminal proceedings on the facts of financing actions committed with the aim of overthrowing the constitutional order, legalization of property, creation and participation in a criminal organization, inaction of a law enforcement officer regarding illegal lottery activities (Part 4 of Article 110-2, Part 2 of Article 209, Part 2 of Article 255 and Part 1 of Article 365-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Head of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency Olena Duma thanked the State Bureau of Investigation for “instant response and filing a corresponding petition with the court”.

She noted that “not a single penny of the aggressor’s funds and those that were legalized by criminal means will be returned,” adding that the money should go to the needs of the Defense Forces.
